So after 4 months of summer, the football season has arrived as SFC begin their 16th league campaign, and their 3 season in Division 1.

Last training session to impress is Wednesday from 7pm as normal, with head coach Martyn taking the team through their paces. Fitness is key!

Sunday sees SFC entertain Irchy Sports at home. Those who are available please text the Gaffa. Team will be announced on the website Thursday evening, and Friday evening by text.

The Gaffa is still on the look out for a goalkeeper, but if you know one, please get in contact. Of the three goalkeepers on the books: ChrisE (work); CarlA (sick not) and RichM (groin) are all out.... any fancy sitting in front of goal for 90min and paying £5... nothing to do as the defense are too good!

Pre-season continues this Sunday with a derby clash with our local rivals - Woodford Allstars. Kick off is 10:30 as usual but arrive at 9.50am to assist in the pitch set up and to give your loins a nice warm up.

Pre-season training starts on Wednesday 28th July, in time for the first friendly on Sunday 1st August against FC GleneaglesUtd.

Pre-season will take place at Raunds Manor School from 6:45pm; with grass boots, shinpads required. The focus of pre-season will be split between fitness (we're all fit Gov) and skill work (pass, tackle, head, shoot,  tactics, talking and team work).

Following on from the first 1 hour of pre-season training, will be 1 hour of 5 aside on the astoturf  with separate boots and shinpads required. We negotiated the top 1/3 of the pitch to allow us to utilise the full size goal for further shooting practise.

The SFC coaches will take the team through the session.

Two hours of football on Wednesday will cost £3 (paying for training balls, equipment and facility hire).
